FAUX STITCHED GATE FOLD
Cut cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", using the score buddy place the card to the top and left and score and fold down both dots to form a gate fold.
On the front edges of the card where they meet, score 2 lines using first and third lines. Repeat on all sides. Using the score bug score inbetween these lines at the second line. Using media of your choice I used sekura pen draw lines between the dots to form stitching.
Cut paper stock to fit onto both front panels and attach.
Cut cream card staock to 3" x 4" using the score buddy and the bug score lines all round the edge of the card.
Stamp image of your choice onto card, at this point you can stamp on either side as the reverse gives a lovely raised stitched effect. Ink up the card edges with distressed ink I used broken china for this one.
Using same media as the main card join the dots to form stitching.
Attach the image on the left half of the gate fold making sure that it is central when it is closed.
BEADED STITCHED CARD
For this card I used a piece of card stock cut to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", using the score buddy score and fold in half at the * making sure the card is butted to the top and left of the board. Ink the edges with distress ink, I used crushed olive.
Cut cream card stock about 1/4" smaller than the folded base card.
Place the card onto the score buddy to the left and top, score along the first and third lines, repeat on all sides.
Next score inbetween these lines which will be the second one score down using the score bug, repeat as before on all sides.
Stamp image of your choice in the centre.
For this card I used metallic thread and beads around the border where I used the score bug.
I then edged the card using the same ink as before mount onto the front of the folded card.
Other options for stitched effects
use pro markers, gel pens etc by drawing lines inbetween the dots (faux stitching), to give the effect of beads, use glitter glue, pearls anything which give dimension can be placed on the dots to look as if they are beads.
