Hi everyone,
Hope you are ready for Christmas, I have just managed to get my cards finished and given out.
My grandchildren have all had a hand in helping with the baking and just about everything else is done, so that's me about ready, just 3 days to work then finished till the 4th January.
Just want to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

New Grand Alphabet
When the new dies came in we were asked to try some of them out.
Here's my samples of the Grand Alphabet, although it's a grand die each letter is individual so can be used independantly in your small die cutting machines.

Saturday brought my second faux porcelain flowers

There were only 3 ladies at this class but that didnot stop us having a great day. All of them have been to my other paper flower classes and this one rounded the set off beautifully with fantastic results.

A really enjoyable class
WOW what a great class today!
I have really enjoyed todays class making faux porcelain flowers.
All the ladies appeared to have lots of fun learning this technique.
Photo 1 below are the ladies who joined me for the class
and photo 2 are there flowers, each made 4.
For first-timers at faux porcelain I think they all did a
fantastic job.

Di's Birthday Gift
As it is a milestone Birthday for Di this weekend we decided to get her somethng special.
Di keeps chickens at home so the first thought was a new chick but, as she has rare breeds we were unsure so we went for a garden ornament, A Cockeral made from metal.
It was a complete suprise for Di and I hope you can see her reaction from the photos.
Hoping you have a fantastic Birthday Di

Summer Crafting at Doncaster Racecourse
Just returned from a great weekend at Doncaster, we have had a really busy time. Hope everyone who managed to go to the show enjoyed it as much as we did, although we have all come away shattered and could do with a few days off to get over it. But we are all in the shop tomorrow as Rob and Gordon are away to the CHA trade show in Chicargo in the morning so we are left holding the fort.
These are pic's of our stand on Saturday morning before the onslaught of crafters.

STAMPING ON SHRINK PLASTIC
We had fun on our stamping on shrink plastic part one last week.
The ladies had never done this before and were a bit nervous at the beginning.
They soon gained confidence and they were eagerly making lots of pieces.
Just a few of the pieces that they have made and they were so pleased with themselves they cannot wait for part 2.
Well done ladies we had so much fun and look forward to seeing you all next time hugs Karen x

Cards I used on C&C on Sunday
Here are three cards I made using the scor-buddy to demonstrate on C&C. I wanted to show how you can do simple backgounds using the embossing lines.
This first one was using white card placed face down butted up to the edge and then embossed along the first three lines, repeat on all sides to form the outer square.
Place the card face down again and emboss on every 1/4" line.
Ink the card from the edge, I used Distress inks so that the colour picks up the embossed lines.
Mount an image onto the front and finish off with a ribbon down the side, with smaller ribbon tied onto the main ribbon.
This one was done by using mirror card cut into 2" squares.
Place the square face down from corner to corner lined up onto the centre line of the board and emboss.
Keeping the top corner in place, move the bottom corner one line right and emboss. Repeat as many times as you want.
Place the card in the centre again but move to your left same as before. Repeat with all squares.
Mount the squares onto cardstock slightly bigger then onto your folded card. Finish off with a gemstone in the centre.
Again I used a square piece of mirror card but used alchol inks to colour it.
Place it face down onto the scor-buddy against the edge, emboss the 1st, 3rd and 5th lines. Now place the same edge face up and emboss on the 2nd, 4th and 6th lines. Repeat on the opposite side. This will give a fluted effect
You can then decorate in your own way.
